Keg Information

Beer Keg sales are a large part of our business. In order to serve you better, we ask that you look over the following carefully to help us assess your needs.

Kegs come in 3 major sizes: 15.5 gallon, 7.75 gallon, and 5 gallon. Most are special order items. We also sell cups and ice if you need them.

Factors to Consider for your Keg Party:

Age of Participants:
Younger folks tend to drink beer more than wine, older crowds will drink more wine than beer.
Length of time covered by the party:
Figure a couple of drinks an hour until hour # 2, then 1 per hour afterwards.
Will there be food served? Dinner or snacks?
If you have less than 50 people, cases of bottled beer may be the best solution..

Stemware Loans

We loan wine stemware:
    * 6 1/2 oz all purpose glass
    * 36 glasses per case/$3 wash fee
    * Champagne Flutes
    * 6 1/2 oz 12 per case
    * $3 wash fee per cs
    * Deposit required for all stemware loans.

Keg Swaps

We Can Use Your Previous Kegs for your keg deposit. The empty keg will cover only the keg part of your deposit; the tap part of the deposit is completely separate.

We Loan Taps for Your Keg

We Can Select the Correct Tap!

Most Domestic Beer uses a SANKE tap. Some microbrews use different tapping systems. The Weinhaus stays up to date on all the taps utilized by all kegs and can supply your needs. We only loan hand pumps (jparty keg taps, not taps for keg-erators.).

The Best Reason to Buy Your Keg From Us:

We will tap the keg for you before you leave our premises upon your request. We rotate and maintain all our taps to insure you get a functioning tap everytime. We won't promise you a tap and not be able to deliver!

We Loan Taps Even If You Don't Buy Your Keg From Us

    The Weinhaus has a limited supply of extra taps that we can loan if you don't purchase your keg from us. The charge is $25 cash plus a $50 cash deposit.
Tap Rentals are for 5 Days Maximum
    There is a $6 Tap Use Fee on all taps we loan. We charge this so we can supply and maintain our taps to the highest standards..
Equipment for Kegs Is Loaned With a Deposit
    To Protect Our Equipment, we charge a $60 deposit for each keg and tap. If you give your deposit in cash, we return it to you on return of the equipment. If you wish to use your credit card for your deposit, there are a couple of things to consider:
    1. Debit Cards handle deposits differently. They may pull money from your account. We don't make a charge but you may not have the funds to use.
    2. A deposit on a credit card puts a hold against your overall credit limit. This hold will come off the next billing cycle when you return the equipment. There is no charge made to your account, hence we will not
    "chargeback" to your card. We will return your credit card slip on return of all our equipment..
